Natalia Carnales is a Uruguayan writer, naturalized in Asturias, Spain. A lover of coffee and literature, she is above all an avid reader. Her work as a writer has primarily focused on short narrative. With her short story "Night without moon" (2018), she earned the title of third finalist in the "letters with art" contest (Spain), and more than twenty of her stories have since been selected for anthologies such as "Literary diversity." She has also published the story "New Year's Eve" (2020) in the anthology "Tales of the dead new year" and "Dream catchers" (2021) in the anthology "Dreamlike: Tales and Hallucinations"
She received the first prize in the Legendary Tales contest by Editorial Ciudad Gótica and Diario Tinta Nova (Argentina) with her story "Full Moon" (2021). In addition, she has made several contributions to Radio Panam (Mexico) on its program "Literary Anthology," collaborated with Radio Creadores de Letras Emergentes (Venezuela), and produced audio stories on Ivoox with announcer Antonio Soto Patiño. Currently, the magazine Necroscriptum (Mexico) has adapted her stories "Guilty" and "Margaret" into comics. She also collaborates with the digital magazine Masticadores.com, where her stories are published every two weeks.
She specialized in Character Psychology and writing for screenwriters and playwrights. She is the author of the illustrated short story book Reflex: Evil Hides in Darkness (2020), the anthology Tales and Other Stories (2021), and the novel Vever, the Water Girl (2023).
